Wine Night at Enderun

Dot the i’s and t’s so you’ll never go wrong with the right wine pairing.

Few weeks back, my blogger bff – Yuki Tansengco and I had a memorable wine & dine experience at Enderun Colleges. It was that memorable because I finally convinced Yuki to break her self liquor ban for me. Haha!

Little did Yuki and I knew, Enderun Colleges was quite a gem! Their “Hogwarts-like” school came with a fancy yet pocket friendly restaurant called – Restaurant 101. I was totally sold with their P180 worth of red sangria pitcher. I will definitely come back for more of that! The red sangria was our introductory drink before we started indulging in their well curated menu specially prepared by Chef Thomas and Chef Justin.

To start off, we were served with a glass of white wine that complimented well with plates of their salted egg tortellini and porcini consomme.

After so, we were introduced with a glass of sweet Rosee wine that perfectly blended with a fishy meal like their crispy skin red snapper (which is my personal fave).

The most awaited part of our degustation; the glass of red wine and extremely tender melts-in-your-mouth kind of meat, meet their roasted beef short rib! This was left in the oven for several hours to keep its tenderness.

Our degustation wouldn’t be complete without a sweet ending. To make sure we all went home with happy tummies, Chef Justin specially prepared a soy milk crème brulee for us that came with a crispy torched soy skin that similarly tasted like a fresh popcorn. It was absolutely a fine burst of sweetness and a little bit of saltiness in our mouths.

If you’re wondering whether Yuki and I got drunk after, we weren’t. We made sure to take one sip at a time and a good combination of talk and laughter kept us sober the whole night.

To give you an idea, our whole meal was only P1980 per person. If you’re looking into celebrating at Restaurant 101 or setting up a date, I suggest you book a table from them. For reservations, you may contact them via 0917.871.3751 or (632) 856.5000 local 101. Restaurant 101 is open from Monday to Sunday, 11:30pm to 2:00pm for lunch and 6:00pm to 10:00pm for dinner.
