TUTORIAL: Overlay Brushed Quotes

Ever wondered how I managed to turn my handwritten brush texts into an overlay?
Since I got a lot of questions over my Instagram account,
I finally decided to share this new trick I’ve learned recently.

Things you need?

A round brush, a black ink or any black paint or watercolor would do, paper and a powerful witty quote.

If you don’t have Photoshop yet, I recommend you to download one first. In my case, I use Photoshop CS6.

1. Once you have it installed Photoshop successfully, open the photo you want to use as your background
then open the scanned copy of your handwritten brush quote (you may also take a photo of it instead).

2.Cut the text you want to use from the scanned copy and paste it in your chosen photo.

3. After doing that, go to your LAYERS section and scroll down the button beside Opacity
and choose between Linear Burn, Multiply or Darken.

4. Once you’re satisfied with the result, it’s time save your photo cause you’re done!

Have you tried doing this already? Show me your works by tagging me on instagram @iamthedoll or use my hashtag #SOSWrites.
