As promised from my previous post, here’s vr. 2.0 for my Baler diary. On day 2, we decided to go for a tour instead of surfing the whole day. I really believe that when you’re visiting a new place, saving a day for a tour is really important so you could at least have a background of the place and explore it’s beauty more. So for our tour, we first visited the biggest tree here in Asia and they call it the “Balete” tree. It’s really amazing to be able to actually go inside the tree’s body. After that, we went for almost an hour trekking to visit Ditumabo Falls (also known as their Mother Falls) just to take a quick dip there. After that, we decided to visit Ermita Hills to get a good view of the whole Sabang Beach then we ended up chilling till sunset at Cobra Beach (Rock Formation) to get a good view of the big waves there. They say that the pro surfers are the only ones who ride the waves there. Moving on, day 3 was already our packing day but we woke up very early just to surf for the last time before we left Baler.
That long weekend trip was really worth it! We only spent Php 3,000 each including the fare, food, accommodation, surfing sessions and the tour. My next surfing destination? La Union! Who’s joining???
